LSAT
Before working with Amber, my biggest LSAT struggle was not even realizing what I was doing wrong. I had taken a Kaplan course the year before and scored a 154 on the actual test. Their classes were built for large groups, and as a first-generation law student I didn’t really understand what I actually needed to be doing to prepare. Kaplan didn’t really altar study plans to you individually. Every student is different with strengths and weaknesses in all aspects of the LSAT. When my score came back, I was shocked and honestly pretty defeated.
Then I decided to try working with a personal tutor and found Amber. I struggle with anxiety and Amber immediately understood that and adjusted my study plan in a way that worked for me. She incorporated meditation practices, checked in with me regularly, and we met twice a week so I never had to guess what I should be studying. She analyzed my diagnostic and built a plan around my specific weaknesses. She had me do things I never would have thought of on my own. For the first time, I felt like I was studying smarter instead of just harder, and I could actually see my score improving little by little.
Three months later I took the LSAT again and scored a 161. That jump completely changed my opportunities. Because of that score, I was accepted to the University of Arizona, which has been a dream of mine since I want to live and practice law here. I was also accepted to Case Western’s Online JD with a scholarship and a near full-ride scholarship to Syracuse Law. None of these opportunities would exist without Amber’s help. Her personalized approach, support for both the academic and mental side of the LSAT, and constant encouragement completely transformed my preparation. I truly don’t think I would be here without her.
